National Certified Counselor
Resident In Counseling

As a counselor, I work collaborately with children, adolescents, and adults to create a safe environment that encourages positive changes for a more satisfying life. I seek to guide my clients to a better understanding of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as teach coping strategies to use in the future.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults with various concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, poor self-esteem, body image issues, relationship and family issues, parenting and life transitions.

I strive to provide an environment that is warm, relaxed, and engaging where clients can have fun while gaining insight and making positive changes. When working with children, I use play therapy to allow free expression and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help children identify the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behavior and learn skills to cope effectively. When working with adolescents and adults, I use an interpersonal approach with cognitive-behavioral techniques to help individuals better understand themselves and learn coping skills for the future.

I am a Resident in Counseling and National Certified Counselor. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University and practice under the supervision of Katie Clark, LPC. I maintain professional memberships in and am actively engaged with Northern Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors (NVLPC), American Counseling Association (ACA), and Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society.
