Current Group Offerings
Social Skills Group for Teens with Autism
Are you a teen experiencing life on the Autism spectrum? Do you want to work on building your social skills?
Many individuals with Autism struggle with knowing how to respond in social situations: making friends, showing flexibility, and regulating emotions. Social Skills Groups work with each member to create a safe space for members to learn and practice how to respond to different social experiences. Developing healthy social skills can make everyday social interactions easier and more enjoyable!
This group is based on a Social Skills curriculum specific to Autism. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques will be used to help teens develop healthy social skills.
In this group, members will:
- Learn how to interact with others and make friends.
- Social Skill Tool Box: knowledge, techniques, and strategies to make social interactions easier.

While this is primarily a process group, psychoeducation about Autism can be introduced if members are in need of additional support.
