Whether you have come to explore your identity, are struggling with mental health issues, a life-changing event, or just feeling that something is “off” in life lately, I believe powerful change can happen in the context of a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. I provide a caring, empathic and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your current life challenges, as well as address past issues that concern you. It is important to me that you feel supported, validated, and ultimately empowered during this journey as we collaboratively work towards your wishes and goals.

It can be so difficult to seek out a therapist and ask for help. I appreciate the inner strength that allowed you to reach out and find a therapist. Together, we can explore patterns in your life to help illuminate your past, present, and work towards your future however you want that to look like. I believe that everyone should have opportunities to become the finest version of themselves, but transformation is never a simple process. I am here to help you during this process!

Therapy looks different for every person. I value your individuality, so it is important to me to fit my skills to your preferences. In order to foster this experience, I am committed to providing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am guided by a person-centered, strengths-based approach in our work. I often draw upon theories such as psychodynamic, attachment based, systems, and stress minority theory. I use a combination of evidenced-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.

I have experience with a wide range of troubles including (but not limited to) adjustments to life changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/bereavement, and chronic/terminal illnesses. I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community and those who are navigating their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I have provided care to adolescents, young adults, adults, and groups. I look forward to hearing from you!
