Sometimes the challenges and transitions of life can be hard to move through on your own, and it can be even harder to find a therapist who you mesh with. I am passionate about supporting my clients in a way that helps them feel comfortable and relaxed.
I specialize in supporting young adults, adults, and couples through life transitions, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, adult ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the pressure of finding their “path” in today’s hectic world.
Today we are often gifted with incredible freedom of choice in life. The choice to pursue what truly brings you joy – what revs your engine! The societal constraints and the “set path” of your parents and grandparents no longer neatly applies to younger generations. This is both liberating and can be a huge weight of responsibility!
When working together, I strive to hold space for you and foster a non-judgmental, trusting, and warm relationship. My approach is casual and conversational in addressing your unique needs and achieving your therapeutic goals.
My background in behavioral change-focused life and health/wellness coaching shapes my approach to address all facets of one’s life, with a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection. Through my background as both a coach and counselor, I use therapeutic techniques/interventions grounded in theories such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Gottman and Imago Couples Therapy – all through a holistic and integrative lens.
The foundation of my approach is a collaboration of psychodynamic, person-centered, and humanistic theories, meaning you are more than a set of problems or symptoms; you are human.
My top character strengths are appreciation of beauty and empathy. In other words, I am a passionate and empathetic person who sees the good and beauty in all things, no matter how deeply buried.
I am the oldest of 3 and a proud millennial dog mom to two sweet pups that often “pop in” during sessions.
I enjoy being active and often can be found on a run with my golden, Jake, playing in leaves with my 10lb doodle, Bunny, taking or teaching a spin class, or in the Sculp’d Pilates studio in Old Town.
