Amy is a respectful and empathetic listener. She helps provide a safe space for people to express the problems they are facing in their lives. She specializes in helping people overcome a variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, grief/loss, school/workplace difficulties, body image, self-esteem, break-ups, and family problems. Amy specializes in premarital/couples/
marriage/relationship issues. Amy draws upon solution focused, emotion focused and narrative theories of counseling in her practice. She also uses primarily “Imago” techniques in her couples counseling work.
Amy Stephens is a Licensed Professional Counselor and co-owner of Sunstone Counseling. Amy is a graduate from Marymount University’s Counseling program and has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from George Mason University. Amy has over fifteen years of social work and counseling experience.
Rates: $130/50-minute session, $205/90-minute couples session, group rates vary.
