Grow with us. Thrive with us.
We provide a supportive and collaborative workplace designed to help our counselors develop a strong caseload of preferred clients, as well as cultivate their clinical skills and competencies.
Sunstone Counseling is currently seeking counselors who are licensed or are working towards licensure, with training and supervision available.
Our goal is to accommodate the needs of our current and prospective clients. While we are open to all applicants, preference will be given to those who are available to work weekend and evening hours.

As a Resident in Counseling, being able to participate in multiple supervision groups has allowed me to feel supported, access a wide variety of clinical perspectives, and broaden my understanding of clinical issues and approaches I may not work with directly. Sunstone’s leadership has truly embraced and supported the way I practice from the start, which has allowed me to grow as a clinician and practice in an authentic manner.
I joined Sunstone in 2015 and have been fulfilled by its energizing and innovative culture. I am grateful that Sunstone continues to support my counseling career by providing the perfect combination of structure and flexibility.
Sunstone’s culture is unparalleled in my experience. There is emphasis on the full spectrum of what it is to be a therapist – from encouraging (and often facilitating) continuing education, providing Supervision as part of the Internship and Residency experiences, to supporting counselors in engaging in self-care and feeling fulfilled by their jobs. Sunstone’s counselors are wholly passionate about what they do, about bettering their skills, and about participating in the larger culture which is very positive and warm.
The culture at Sunstone is immensely supportive. There are daily opportunities to attend peer consultation groups, easily accessible supervisors, ample opportunities for training, fun social events, and an immensely collaborative team. Leadership is very tuned in to needs of its employees and treats each one of us like family.
I love the consideration Sunstone gives for my time and energy. As a child therapist, my caseload remains full, yet there is never pressure to take on more than I can personally handle.
Sunstone offers the ideal balance between providing me with enough support while also giving me the space and autonomy to do my best work. I’ve been able to explore working with different populations and issues and love that my professional development is not only supported, but exuberantly encouraged.
Sunstone supported my career during internship and residency with individual and peer supervision as well as networking and training opportunities. After gaining my LPC, Sunstone continues to offer peer consultation, trainings, and a wonderful community of counselors with varied backgrounds, experience, and specialties.
I appreciate the sense of family among the team, and I feel very supported in pursuing my individual goals. Sunstone has helped me realize what more I want for myself and my counseling career, which is why I chose to go back to school to pursue by PhD.
Graduate Intern Program
Our internship program is part of our commitment to both the professional field of counseling and to our community. Graduate Interns receive in-person weekly supervision from licensed therapists and through weekly peer consultation groups. The internship program exposes interns to a variety of client populations and clinical issues. Clients, in turn, benefit from reduced session rates and access to professional counseling services which may otherwise have been inaccessible due to financial restrictions.
