Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and/or stress controlling your life? Are you feeling ashamed, confused, and fearful? What about overwhelmed, out-of-control, and exhausted? If so, I’m here to help. As a therapist, I aspire to help each client gain skills in a non judgemental environment that works best for them to live and navigate their best life. I aim to empower clients to overcome obstacles, improve relationships, and develop coping skills to deal with the challenges that life may bring along.
I have a passion for working with children, tweens, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of issues including, anxiety, depression, anger management, substance misuse, trauma/PTSD, and social skills.
To meet the unique needs of each client I am committed to tailoring the therapeutic experience to each individual. My counseling approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and collaborative efforts. I firmly believe in the power of establishing a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding. I work from a theoretical foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) with a person-centered approach. Together we can help you overcome obstacles in your life and work towards achieving your mental and emotional well-being goals, so you are able to start living and loving your life again!
I was born and raised in Fairfax County, VA and still currently reside here. Outside of counseling I am a Fairfax County Public School 4th grade teacher. I enjoy spending time with my dog, Oakley, attending Washington Nationals and Capitals games, and traveling.
